Use of Certification Mark

Introduction

These Certification Mark Usage Guidelines define how the certification mark of Ignyte Assurance LLC (Ignyte) may be used by certified customers, ensuring consistent, appropriate application and compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 requirements.

Description of the Certification Mark

The certification mark is a symbol of the customer's compliance with the standards assessed by Ignyte. It represents the credibility and reliability of the certified entity. Ignyte's certification mark can be downloaded here.

Eligibility and Authorization for Use

Only customers who have been granted certification by Ignyte are authorized to use the certification mark. Use is strictly limited to the scope of the certification granted.

Certified customers must ensure that:

  • The certification mark is not used in a manner that implies certification of individual products, product packaging, or specific services unless explicitly allowed by the certification scheme.

  • Certification marks are not displayed in contexts unrelated to the scope of certification.

Guidelines for Proper Usage

  • Placement: The mark must only be placed on materials that represent the management system certified by Ignyte.

  • Size and Color: The mark must be used in its original form, with no alterations to size, color, or design.

  • Context: The mark must only be used in a way that accurately reflects the scope of certification granted and must not imply certification of products unless the certification explicitly includes product certification.

Prohibited Uses

  • Applied to any product or product packaging, or used in a way that suggests product conformity or product certification.

  • Used on test reports, calibration reports, inspection reports, or certificates issued by the certified organization.

  • Displayed in any misleading context that suggests coverage beyond the actual certified scope.

  • Used after suspension, withdrawal, or reduction of certification.

  • Altered, modified, or used without proper authorization from Ignyte.

Monitoring and Enforcement

Ignyte shall monitor the usage of its certification mark through:

  • Scheduled Reviews: Regular audits of certified clients’ materials to ensure proper usage of the mark.

  • Complaint Handling: Investigating reports of misuse or misrepresentation from the public or stakeholders.

In cases of improper use, Ignyte will initiate corrective actions, which may include written warnings, requirements for public corrections, or legal action in severe cases.

Process for Approvals

Customers must seek written approval from Ignyte for any new use of the certification mark not previously authorized.

Consequences of Misuse

If misuse of the certification mark is identified:

  • Certified clients must take immediate corrective action, including ceasing improper use of the mark and removing it from all materials where it is improperly displayed.

  • Continued misuse after notice may result in suspension, withdrawal, or reduction of certification scope.

  • Ignyte reserves the right to publicly announce withdrawal or suspension of certification to prevent public misunderstanding.
